The 2023 Halkirk Games enjoyed a warm sunny afternoon and the action was watched by a record crowd of over 3,500, smashing last year’s record crowd of 3,300. Five ground records were broken. Abbie Harrison from Inverness broke the female ground records in the high jump, long jump and hop, Step and Leap. Jamie Gunn broke the Caithness record in the 22lb stone putt and Vlad Tulacek broke the ground record in the Farmer’s Walk. The live stream worked well and there were hundreds of viewers from all over the world watching the action as it happened. We had a drone camera up in the air and one of the photos is shown. The view is looking West and the three car parks can be seen in the top of the photo.
