Pipe bands for 2026 | Halkirk Games

There will be four pipe bands playing at Halkirk on 25th July 2026. This has never happened before. They are Thurso & District, Wick RBLS, Bad Waldsee from Germany and Caithness Youth pipe bands. The bands will make a colourful spectacle when they parade from the Ross Institute to the Games field at 12 noon. Directly behind the bands will be the members of the Halkirk Highland Games Association and attendees of the Clan Gunn International Gathering, headed by their recently appointed Chief, John Gunn of Gunn and Banniskirk.  The bands will play at regular intervals throughout the afternoon in the main arena.
